Text us first to opt-in
Sign a paper form giving us permission

What We Text You

Church service reminders
Event announcements
Emergency notifications
Ministry updates
Prayer requests (if you opt-in)

We DO NOT send:

Fundraising appeals
Commercial advertisements
Marketing for outside organizations

Your Consent

By giving us your mobile number, you agree to:

Receive up to 4 text messages per month
Standard message and data rates apply
We may use an automated system to send texts

How to Stop Texts

To opt-out, you can:

Reply "STOP" to any text message
Call us at 507-283-2316
Email us at office@stjohnluverne.org (Subject: SMS Privacy)
Tell church office staff in person

We will stop texting you within 24 hours.

Your mobile phone number
Date you opted in
Record of messages sent
Opt-out requests

How Long We Keep Your Information

Active subscribers: Until you opt-out
Opt-out records: 5 years (required by law)
Message logs: 2 years

We Don't Share Your Number

We never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with outside organizations.

Security

Your phone number is stored securely and only accessed by authorized church staff.

Time Restrictions

We only send texts between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your time zone.
